Discover Your Borough is a way-finding system for pedestrians. On a small-scale and hand-drawn, the system is to be experienced at a slower pace. The signage itself is placed above and below eye-level to encourage a sense of discovery and curiosity in navigation. As a result, it aims to give time to people to enjoy and take delight in their surroundings. Each borough in London shapes the identity of their way-finding system.

Discover Your Borough directs users to the ‘hidden gems’ of the area such as places of historical and cultural value. As a more playful wayfinding system, the signs themselves are more abstract than typical formal signage.

This project was selected to be exhibited in the Sense and the City exhibition at the London Transport Museum, opening in June 2011.
